Shock Indicator

Definition

A mechanical or electronic device attached to packaging that registers if a shipment has been subjected to impact forces exceeding a defined threshold (measured in G-force). Shock indicators are critical for sensitive cargo such as semiconductor wafers, precision optics, and medical imaging equipment. A triggered indicator alerts the recipient to inspect the contents for damage before acceptance. FlashGL applies shock indicators to all semiconductor and precision equipment OBC shipments, with thresholds calibrated to the product's fragility specifications.
