Door-to-Door

Definition

A logistics service model where the provider manages the entire shipment journey — from pickup at the sender's location to delivery at the recipient's location, including all intermediate transport, customs clearance, and handling. Door-to-door is the standard service level in time-critical logistics (OBC, NFO, Hand Carry), as opposed to airport-to-airport or port-to-port arrangements common in conventional freight. The key advantage is single-point accountability and end-to-end visibility.
