IATA LAR Compliance, Not Approximation
IATA Live Animals Regulations specify container dimensions, ventilation patterns, feeding requirements, and handling procedures for over 50 species categories. We build containers to exact LAR specifications — not "close enough" modifications of standard cargo containers. A container that is 10cm too short for a giraffe's neck is not a compliant container; it is an animal welfare incident waiting to happen.

Transporting CITES Appendix I species (giant pandas, certain primates, endangered reptiles) requires coordinated permits from origin, transit, and destination national wildlife authorities — a process that takes 4-8 weeks and fails if any document is incomplete. Species-Specific Climate Management
A reptile shipment requires 25-30°C with controlled humidity. A penguin transport requires 2-8°C with ice provisions. A primate shipment requires 18-24°C with ventilation that prevents CO₂ buildup. We do not put all live animal shipments in the same cargo hold temperature setting — we configure the hold environment to the species' biological requirements, verified by the attending veterinarian before loading.
Custom Containers, Engineered to Species
Standard cargo containers do not accommodate a giraffe's neck, a dolphin's water filtration needs, or a racehorse's standing stability requirements. We design and build custom transport containers to LAR specifications for each shipment — with internal padding, waste management systems, feeding mechanisms, and monitoring access points. The container is not packaging; it is the animal's habitat for the duration of the journey.
Veterinary Escort for Sensitive Transports
For high-value species, CITES Appendix I animals, or transports with elevated welfare risk, we provide a veterinary escort who accompanies the animal throughout transit — monitoring vital signs, managing feeding and hydration, and responding to any health event immediately. The veterinarian is not a passenger; they are the animal's medical attendant with authority to halt the transport if welfare conditions deteriorate.
