Freight Paid

Aviation Codes

Definition

A shipment designation indicating that the transportation charges have been paid by the shipper. The opposite is "Freight Collect" (or "Charges Collect"), where the consignee pays upon delivery. In time-critical logistics, prepaid freight is standard for OBC and NFO services because the logistics provider typically books and pays for the flight ticket and cargo charges upfront, then invoices the client. The AWB will show "PP" (Prepaid) or "CC" (Collect) in the charges box.
