Delivered at Place

Incoterms

Definition

An Incoterm (2020) where the seller is responsible for all costs and risks of delivering the goods to the named destination, excluding import customs clearance and any applicable import duties. The buyer handles import formalities and unloading. DAP is one of the most commonly used terms in time-critical logistics because it places door-to-door transport responsibility on the logistics provider while allowing the recipient to manage their own customs clearance (often preferred by companies with in-house customs teams).
