Tilt Indicator

Definition

A monitoring device affixed to packaging that indicates whether a shipment has been tilted beyond an acceptable angle during transport. Some equipment — such as precision machinery, medical imaging devices, and semiconductor fabrication tools — must remain upright to prevent internal component damage. Tilt indicators provide visual evidence of mishandling and are used alongside shock indicators for comprehensive transit condition monitoring. FlashGL applies tilt indicators to all equipment shipments that carry a "This Side Up" requirement.
