Landing Permit

Aviation

Definition

Authorization from a country's civil aviation authority allowing an aircraft to land at a specific airport within its territory. Landing permits (also called "slots" or "PPR" — Prior Permission Required) are distinct from airport slots and are mandatory for charter flights, ad-hoc cargo flights, and any non-scheduled service. In emergency AOG charter operations, landing permits must often be obtained on an expedited basis — FlashGL maintains relationships with civil aviation authorities in 50+ countries to fast-track permit approvals.
