Definition

A compact electronic device that continuously records temperature during shipment transport and storage. Data loggers are mandatory for GDP-compliant pharmaceutical cold chain logistics, providing an auditable temperature record from origin to destination. Modern loggers feature USB or Bluetooth download, LCD displays showing current/min/max readings, and configurable alarm thresholds. In OBC cold chain transport, the logger travels inside the validated container, and temperature data is reviewed by a Qualified Person before product release.
