Documentary evidence that a shipment has been delivered to the intended recipient. In time-critical logistics, POD typically includes the recipient's signature, printed name, date and time of delivery, and sometimes a photograph. Digital POD systems provide real-time confirmation transmitted instantly to the shipper and operations team. POD is critical for compliance, billing, and dispute resolution — especially for high-value OBC shipments where chain of custody must be documented end-to-end.
