Flight Number

Aviation Codes

Definition

A code used to identify a specific flight, consisting of the airline's IATA designator (2 characters) followed by a 1-4 digit number (e.g., CA931, LH721, EK302). Flight numbers are used in booking confirmations, air waybills, and tracking systems. In OBC logistics, the flight number assigned to the courier determines the transit route, connection points, and estimated arrival time. Same flight numbers may operate daily on the same route but with different aircraft.
