House Air Waybill
Logistics TermsDefinition
A transport document issued by a freight forwarder to the shipper when the forwarder consolidates multiple shipments under a single Master Air Waybill (MAWB) for airline carriage. The HAWB covers the individual shipper's portion of the consolidated shipment. In time-critical logistics, the HAWB is used when a freight forwarder books OBC or NFO service on behalf of the actual shipper, with the forwarder's house waybill tracking the specific consignment within the broader airline movement.
